Cherish your Johny and Papa content while it`s still up, because memes are rapidly getting removed from Twitter for copyright violations.

You`ve probably stumbled across at least one Johny Johny Yes Papa meme while scrolling through your feed in the past week — the macrocephalic child who hungers for sugar and his tyrannical Papa who often catches him telling lies danced their way right into our creeped out hearts.

But Twitter has recently removed a vast swath of the most viral memes about Johny and his family.

You likely know K`naan Warsame for his FIFA World Cup anthem "Waving Flag" and his role on The Hamilton Mixtape track, "Immigrants (We Get The Job Done.)" Now, he`s asking American citizens to vote on his behalf in the upcoming elections.

Though the Canadian-Somali singer and poet lives and works in New York, he`s a Canadian citizen and his family still resides in Toronto, which means he`s facing challenges as a result of the Trump administration`s travel ban.

So he released a powerful video plea in partnership with The Love Vote, a nonprofit organization that aims to give the 50 million people like K`naan — who are unable to vote in the U.S. due to circumstances like age, citizenship status, or disenfranchisement — a space for their voices to be heard. Saturn`s flickering auroras would challenge even the most vivid northern and southern lights on Earth.

Newly released photos taken by the Hubble Space Telescope in 2017, during and after Saturn`s summer solstice, show off the ringed planet`s northern lights shining in space.

The images, taken in ultraviolet light, are "the most comprehensive picture so far of Saturn`s northern aurora," the European Space Agency (ESA) said in a statement

After nine seasons on Showtime`s acclaimed Shameless, star Emmy Rossum is walking away.

In a Facebook post made earlier this afternoon, Rossum announced her exit, bid adieu to her South Side Chicago family, reflected on her upbringing, talked about Malcolm Gladwell, and even alluded to a possible return...

However, she did not give a reason for the departure.

Rossum signs off her note, saying, "I know you will continue on without me, for now. There is much more Gallagher story to be told. I will always be rooting for my family. Try not to think of me as gone, just think of me as moving down the block." Read more...

Only a few hours after Apple sent out this year`s iPhone event invitations, purportedly leaked images of the new devices have surfaced online.

This afternoon, Apple news site 9to5Mac posted a photo of what is allegedly one of the new flagship iPhone models laying on top of one another.

If the leaked photos are to be believed, Apple fans can rejoice, because it appears that a bigger iPhone X is on its way — oh, and there could be a gold color option coming as well.

The Cupertino, Calif.-based tech company just sent out invites for a September 12 event with the tagline "Gather Around." The invite didn`t offer much information about what to expect, but an outline of Apple Park appeared in what was a gold-copper color — which could be perceived as a hint about the upcoming gold iPhone color option. Despite its California roots, In-N-Out is far from liberal.

On Wednesday, journalist Gabe Schneider uncovered a contribution of 25,000 that the famous California-based fast food chain made to the California Republican Party just this week — and it`s safe to say that some folks were not happy to learn about the political leanings of their family owned go-to burger joint.

As decent as the BlackBerry Key 2 is, it`s really not worth spending 650 on when there are better phones like the OnePlus 6 that cost less.

TCL Communications, the company behind the BlackBerry Key series, has heard the cries of the people and has announced a cheaper Key 2 LE coming in September, which`ll start at a more affordable 399.

When the Social Good Summit first launched in 2010, digital media was still new terrain. Developments in artificial intelligence and cryptocurrency were just getting started, and social platforms like Instagram and Snapchat were yet to be released.

In just nine years, the way we think about new media has completely changed. The internet has made it so that anyone, anywhere, at anytime can have a voice; and now, we’re expected to use it.

One such person making the most of their digital voice is multifaceted entertainer and activist Lilly Singh. As one of the most recognizable digital creators, Singh has amassed a global audience more than 14 million YouTube subscribers with more than 2 billion video views on her iiSuperwomanii channel. Singh created the #GirlLove initiative to inspire positivity among young women in order to better support each other`s voices and encourage upward mobility. A ceremony taking place at the new Roman temple.

Worship of the ancient pagan gods is on the rise in many parts of Europe. Norse Neopaganism is becoming popular in Scandinavia, Germany, and elsewhere. Hellenic Neopaganism or simply “Hellenism,” is gaining popularity in Greece and the area around the Aegean. Elsewhere in the world, particularly in Italy, but also in Eastern Europe and the United States, the ancient Roman state religion is making a comeback. As of 2017, these modern Romans even have an active, public temple to Jupiter, the Iuppiter-Perunus temple.

Building the Iuppiter Perunus Temple

The story of the Temple to Iuppiter Perunus begins in 2009 when a group of Romans, or Roman Neopagans, bought land near Poltava, Ukraine. This was in response to the conviction that, if they were to truly revive Classical Rome as a living spiritual, cultural, and national entity, they needed a sacred space to worship and honor the gods that were and are at the heart of all that is authentically Roman in the pre-Christian sense.

If you were a child growing up in the late 90s or early 2000s, odds are you remember the most entertaining and hilariously nonsensical way of listening to music: HitClips.

In 1999, Hasbro`s Tiger Electronics released the "slick micro audio systems" known as HitClips, tiny  memory card-like chips that contained a 60-second "clip" of a super popular song. In the early days, that meant tracks from Backstreet Boys, *NSYNC, and Britney Spears, and later they included middle school anthems from Avril Lavigne, Hilary Duff, Simple Plan, and more.

Think your political rants on Facebook or Twitter are persuasive enough to get other people to change their opinions? Don`t flatter yourself.

A recent study from the Pew Research Center reveals that exposure to opposing views on social media has not caused most Americans to change their own stance on issues in the past year. Just 14 percent of the 4,594 US adults surveyed between May 29 and June 11 said they have changed their views about a political or social issue in the past year due to something they saw on social media.

"Certain groups, particularly young men, are more likely than others to say they`ve modified their views because of social media," according to Pew Research Assistant Kristen Bialik. "Around three-in-ten men ages 18 to 29 (29 percent) say their views on a political or social issue changed in the past year due to social media." Read more...

It`s been over a year since the good people of Twitter were shocked to learn that Jamie Foxx`s real name is actually Eric Marlon Bishop.

Foxx is one of many famous faces to employ new names upon entering certain echelons of Hollywood — but in a hilarious meme, fans are using celebrity stage names to guess the "real" names behind the star.

For example, Ice Cube was born O`Shea Jackson Sr., but if you ask Twitter this week, his "real name" is Icelandic Cubicle. Hence, the nickname Ice Cube.

Choquequirao is known as the ‘sacred sister’ of Machu Picchu, as it is similar to this site both in structure and architecture. With demand ever high to trek the now well-worn Inca trail to Machu Picchu, but places limited to 500 per day and prices high, Choquequirao is now being offered as the alternative trail to follow.

Many who had the dream of walking in the footsteps of the Incas to Machu Picchu have been disappointed due to the limited places available, and so have had to settle for getting the train to the iconic site and at least obtaining the “I was here” photo. For some that’s enough. For others – those who were relishing the grueling several day trek - there is now an alternative path open leading to an arguably more thrilling site. The only access to Choquequirao is by foot, meaning far less visitors and the expansive site is still being uncovered. For those who prefer to get off the standard ‘bucket list’ destinations or even entertain having a slightly more original selfie to post than a miriad of their gap-year peers, Choquequirao is a good bet. So what is the reward for bucking the trend and taking a path less trodden?

The restored horse head is on view for the first time since its discovery in 2009

Last week a rare Roman bronze horse’s head made international headlines because it gained a German farmer a pretty penny. Now the sculpture fragment is back in the limelight because archaeologists say it provides evidence that relations between Germanic tribes and Romans were not always as tense as some historians suggest. Actually, it seems life was mostly comfortable almost 2,000 years ago when the two cultures lived alongside one another at Waldgirmes.

The horse’s head was found amongst other artifacts and ruins at Waldgirmes, the site of a Roman settlement covering nearly 20 acres in Hesse, Germany. To date, the site has the oldest known stone buildings in what used to be Magna Germania. Between 1994-2009, archaeologists with the German Archaeological Institute’s Roman-Germanic Commission excavated the land and National Geographic reports that the findings suggest Romans did not only try to obtain control over Germanic tribes by fighting. In fact, it seems the so-called German “barbarians” peacefully lived beside and traded with their Roman neighbors for years.

The ziggurat Choga Zanbil in Ira

With their massive terraces decreasing in size as the building rises, ziggurats can easily be called manmade mountains. They are identifiable structures most often associated with ancient Mesopotamian religion. In ancient times, each of the major city states in Mesopotamia had their own ziggurat, however many have been destroyed over the ages. Two famous examples of surviving ziggurats include the Great Ziggurat of Ur in Iraq, and Chogha Zanbil in Iran.

The Tower of Babel

The word ‘ziggurat’ is derived from the Akkadian ‘ziqqurratu’, which has been variously translated to mean ‘mountain peak’, ‘rising building’, and ‘to build on a raised area’. This name is appropriate, considering that some ziggurats were towering structures. It is interesting to consider that the biblical Tower of Babel, which was meant to allow humans to climb to the heavens, is believed to have actually been a ziggurat. The inspiration for the building in biblical tales is said to have been a Babylonian ziggurat known as Etemenanki (meaning ‘House of the foundation of heaven on earth’). This structure is recorded to have soared to a height of 92 m (302 m). Unfortunately, Etemenanki was demolished in antiquity.

The 46-year-old driver "became airborne and crashed over 100 feet into the opposing lane," according to Barrie Today. The Tesla skidded after landing, and eventually hit a tree in a parking lot. Considering Teslas are, you know, not supposed to fly, it`s not surprising that the four-door vehicle, which appears to be a sedan, was totaled. The exact model was not released.  Read more...

Prince Harry is officially off of the market these days, but an old crush has somehow resurfaced.

Dorm room photos from his stint at Eton College in 2003 popped back up recently — only this time, some eagle eyes have noticed Halle Berry on the poster behind the grinning young prince.

"Ok #PrinceHarry, I see you!" Berry wrote on Twitter after finding the image on W magazine. She tagged Missy Elliot because it`s practically blasphemous to discuss Halle Berry posters without referencing the iconic line "Don`t I look like a Halle Berry poster?" from "Work It."  Read more...
