Kuwait hosts meeting on Arab-US military exercises from Ayman's blog

CAIRO – 18 June 2019:Kuwait hosted a four-way military meeting for Egypt, Jordan, Gulf States , and the U.S. to discuss preparations of the third round of military exercises“Decisiveness of Eagle”, statedthe Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense on Monday.

The military exercises is set to take place in March 2020.

The meeting was attended by representatives from the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Egypt, Jordan, and the U.S., the statement added, noting that Kuwait has hosted the military exercises twice since 2000.

In 2017 Riyadh Summit, Egyptian President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi, Saudi King Salman bin Abdul Aziz, and US President Donald Trump inaugurated new Global Center for Combating Extremist Ideology ‘Aa’tidal”, which means Moderation, in Riyadh.

In November 2018, Egypt launched maneuvers dubbed "Arab Shield 1" joined by several Arab countries, including Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bahrain, Jordan and Kuwait. The exercises took place at Mohammed Naguib military base, west of Alexandria.
